Roberto and Maria Cristina from Rome bought the stone farmhouse dating back to 1400 several years ago and began restoration work while living in the newer house next door. The results of their efforts are six perfectly neat and spotless bedrooms and two separate private suites divided between the two houses, and a large stone-walled dining room with outdoor veranda. Obvious care and attention has been put into the decorating of the air-conditioned bedrooms with wrought-iron canopy beds, crisp, white linen curtains, and botanical prints. The scenic 50-acre property with fruit orchards and olive trees is part of the Tiber river valley and woods. A swimming pool and spa facilities are there for guests to enjoy.
